Kemper Arena/American Royal Complex is a multi-use facility that includes Kemper Arena and the American Royal Center. Kemper Arena has a rich tradition of hosting NCAA basketball events, concerts, hockey, indoor soccer and family shows. Uniquely surrounded by ample parking with easy ingress and egress, Kemper Arena has a flexible capacity that holds more than 18,000 for concerts, hockey and basketball configurations. Kemper Arena host several events throughout the year including NCAA Basketball, family shows, concerts, religious events and the annual American Royal, a 2 month-long celebration of the Midwest’s rich equestrian history.

American Royal Center consists of several multi-purpose facilities including Hale Arena, Governors' Exposition Building, Lower & Upper Level Exposition Halls and Wagstaff Theatre. Kansas City is fortunate to partner with the American Royal Association in providing more than 60 days of agri-entertainment and equestrian events for more than 8 million people within a 3 hour drive of Kansas City. The American Royal Center welcomes participants from more than 20 states to more than 300,000 sq. ft. of exhibit space during its annual season. In addition, the multi-purpose facility hosts a variety of heavy equipment trade shows and industrial exhibit shows. Hale Arena seats 5,000 with 29,400 sq. ft. of floor space. For the past 108 years, the American Royal Association hosts the American Royal Horse Show, Livestock Show and Rodeo. Each fall, barbecue aficionados from around the world flock to the World's Largest Barbecue Contest hosted by the American Royal Association. |
