Job Summary

A remote opportunity for an experienced and strategic Construction Project Manager to assist SVP of AEG Presents, VP & Senior VP of Real Estate in the planning, execution, and delivery of venue construction projects for new venues across the U.S. The role requires an understanding of construction project management within the entertainment or construction industry, with a focus on ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Construction Project Manager will work with regional teams to ensure operational and production goals are met, manage budgets and resources, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential for success in this role. 50% travel required.

Essential Functions

  • Assist with the development of construction plans for new builds & adaptive reuse projects (including site selection) and regional capital expense projects by reviewing and editing to ensure operational and production design are optimal for AEG Presents. Continue to review with local market leadership to ensure goals and intent are met.
  • Review plans and specifications for suitability of AEG use; operational flow, site logistics, event safety, future operational cost, building and fire code compliance.
  • Assist VP of Real Estate in ensuring GC, architect and any other applicable parties are providing appropriate documentation and record-keeping to keep project on track and to ensure local market has all items necessary to operate.
  • Manage relationship between all applicable parties, including local market leadership and operators, to ensure successful completion of project and turn over. Including engaging with local operating team and ensuring their feedback is received in a timely fashion and deliverable is clear and concise.
  • Attend, or conduct, construction meetings with all applicable parties on site. These meetings should include the discussion and review of potential change orders, problems, schedule, budget, any pending requests and any pending areas of interest. Requires frequent travel.
  • Report, update and review of all projects with AEG Presents and AEG Real Estate leadership.
  • Lead all initial coordination with all FF&E vendors to ensure all contracts/insurance documents are finalized, infrastructure needs are captured, budget is developed, and coordination is done. Will do this in tandem with local third-party project manager
  • Post Occupancy - Ensure all warranty issues are resolved - Ensure all contractual obligations are met and end user is satisfied. Assist with changes as necessary post opening to ensure building is ideal for intended purpose - Close out all pending change orders, construction budget related items to ensure all AEG contractual obligations are met

 

Required Qualifications

 

  • BA/BS Degree (4-year) (Advanced Degree Preferred)
  • Minimum 4-6+ years related work experience in Construction Management for the Hospitality or Live Entertainment industry
  • Experienced in effectively interfacing with people at all levels and across all functions
  • Experience with all phases of the development process preferred, preferably with at least one project taken from concept through completion.
  • Experience working in concert venues as Operational Lead
  • Experience with Bluebeam or other architectural review
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Position requires attention to detail, adaptability and high degree of collaboration
  • Ability to initiate and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with team members, local government agencies, consultants, lenders/investors, and community stakeholders.
  • Well-organized, detail oriented, and excellent analytical skills; proficiency in sophisticated financial analysis
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) as well as Bluebeam; ability to learn all require business systems.
  • Strong analytical and problems solving skills; good client and public presentation skills; and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in reading and understanding horizontal construction plans, specifications, drawings and project schedules
  • Must be a proactive self-starter with a strong focus on delivering high-quality work. They should take full ownership of their responsibilities, ensuring that all deliverables are met on time and to the expected standards.
  • Valid driver’s license required

Pay Scale: $120,000 - $140,000
