A Leader in the Field for More Than 20 Years, Petri Will Spearhead Multi-Asset Brand Partnerships Across AEG’s Global Portfolio

AEG Global Partnerships, a division of AEG, the world’s leading sports and live entertainment company, is growing its team with the appointment of seasoned-industry executive Ingrid Petri who joins Global Partnerships as Vice President, AEG Global Portfolio Sales. Acting as an internal agency for AEG, Global Partnerships oversees worldwide sponsorship sales and activation for over 130 world-class platforms across five continents and numerous other assets, including venues, sports franchises, events, tours, festivals and digital content among other AEG holdings. Petri will work out of AEG’s New York office and will dually report to Nick Baker, Chief Operating Officer, AEG Global Partnerships as well as Andrew Klein, Managing Director, AEG Global Partnerships.

Petri will serve as a key member of the Global Partnerships’ sales team responsible for driving innovative business solutions for new partners and growing strategic relationships with companies investing across the full scope of AEG’s portfolio. She will focus on building multi-property deals with major brands that span all facets of AEG’s sports and live entertainment business including world-class venues such as Crypto.com Arena, L.A. LIVE, and The O2 arena to name a few, top music festivals like Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and Stagecoach: California’s Country Music Festival, celebrated sports franchises such as the LA Kings and LA Galaxy, as well as an impressive network of live music venues.

Petri brings with her more than two decades worth of experience in sales, brand development, and experiential marketing having held senior leadership roles across major sports leagues, teams, and media companies. Prior to joining AEG, she spent eight years with the National Basketball Association (NBA) as Associate Vice President of Business Development and Global Partnerships. While there, she oversaw business development and built brand partnerships for the NBA and its portfolio of leagues including the Women’s National Basketball Association, the NBA 2K League, G League and USA Basketball. Her experience and ingenuity added significant value to the NBA and resulted in the closing of notable first-of-their kind deals with Coinbase, Clorox, Mondelez, and ServiceNow, among many others.

Petri also managed business development and partnerships for the National Football League (NFL) and has extensive experience across the media landscape. Having previously worked for NBC News Networks, Sports Illustrated Property Sales and as the Head of Sports Advertising Sales at DirecTV, she has a track-record of success securing sizable deals across numerous categories with leading blue-chip brands.

Petri started her career in sports with stints at the NFL’s San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles and is a proud alumnus of Villanova University Business School where she majored in marketing and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Petri remains actively involved with her alma mater serving on the Mentor Advisory Board for the university’s business school as well as on the board of the Villanova Moorad Sports Law Center.
