LA Kings Partner With Southern California Gas Company, TreePeople and One Tree Planted to Plant Trees in Celebration of California Clean Air Day
In celebration of California Clean Air Day, AEG's LA Kings employees and LA Kings Alumni and Radio Analyst Daryl Evans planted trees in Lynwood, CA as part of team’s ongoing efforts to promote responsible use of natural resources and advance sustainable practices.
In partnership with Southern California Gas Company. TreePeople and One Tree Planted, 40 volunteers worked alongside team mascot, Bailey, to plant 15 trees in residential neighborhoods to enhance shade equity in the underserved areas.
“We are very proud of our team’s ongoing efforts to contribute to a cleaner and healthier environment for our fans and families in the communities that we serve,” said Gabe Gelbard, Supervisor of Community Relations and Team Services at LA Kings. “Cleaning the air, shading city streets, enhancing the natural habitat and adding beauty overall, urban tree planting represents an investment in our environment and the health and well-being of Lynwood’s residents.”
