Anti-Defamation League Honors AEG’s Martha Saucedo, Executive Vice President, External Affairs
Martha Saucedo, AEG’s Executive Vice President of External Affairs, was honored by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) at the 22nd Annual Deborah Awards in Los Angeles on March 30, 2017.
The Deborah Awards, ADL’s annual Women of Achievement dinner, honors outstanding women whose leadership in their professions and civic contributions exemplify the ideals of the ADL. The award – named after the prophetess Deborah, who is noted for her courage, wisdom and leadership – was presented to Saucedo by Los Angeles City Councilmember Gilbert Cedillo.
Cedillo described Saucedo as someone who takes her values and applies them at the highest levels of public life. In accepting the award, Saucedo talked about how the values she was raised with reflect the work of the ADL, which seeks justice and fair treatment for all. She also noted ADL’s important role in speaking out against bigotry, discrimination and injustice.
Also honored by the ADL were director and producer Zane Buzby, who is also the founder of The Survivor Mitzvah Project and Francesca Leiweke-Bodie, Vice President of Business Development of Oak View Group. In addition to honoring Saucedo, Buzby and Leiweke-Bodie, the event raised $335,000 to combat anti-Semitism and bigotry.
