Job Summary
The primary role of the Part-Time (Temp) Social Impact Coordinator is the administration of ongoing AEG Social Impact events, AEG Futures career exploration events, Season of Giving activities, and provides support for the AEG Community Foundation Ticket Program. The coordinator reports directly to the Community Affairs, Sr. Program Manager.
Essential Functions
- Assisting with the AEG Community Ticket Program by updating the ticket log, distributing tickets to community partners, and generating and sending donation acknowledgment letters to ticket donors.
- Provide operational support to the Social Impact team, including task documentation, taking meeting notes, setting up and tracking waivers, creating post-event surveys, submitting creative requests, and other administrative tasks.
- Support the overall event coordination for festival related community projects, including career exploration events. Assist with outreach, the student application and review process, logistical and programmatic planning, and day of event support.
- Assist in the overall event coordination, planning, and day of support for Season of Giving activities in greater Los Angeles. Events include Thanksgiving Celebrations, Service Day, Tenth Street Holiday Party and various employee drives.
- Assist with expanding Season of Giving in AEG markets outside of Los Angeles by researching virtual and self-led volunteer opportunities for Backstage.
- Other functions as assigned such as data collection/processing support, donation distribution, maintaining closet inventory and other administrative tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or its equivalency (BA/BS Degree Preferred).
- 2-4 years related work experience (event planning experience).
- Experience in customer service and working with clients and/or partners.
- Related work experience volunteering or working with nonprofit organizations.
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Must be a team player with a commitment to relationship building.
- Outstanding organizational and project management skills, with the ability to successfully handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Motivated and creative self-starter with the ability to adapt and prioritize in rapidly changing situations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); and ability to learn required business systems.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and events as business dictates.
- Ability to lift, push, pull up to 25 lbs.
- Spanish language skills are preferable but not required.
Pay Scale: $23.00 - $25.00 p/h
Bonus: This position is not eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
