AEG Releases 2018 Diversity & Inclusion Report
LOS ANGELES (April 11, 2018) - To coincide with Celebrate Diversity Month, AEG, the world’s leading sports and live entertainment company, today released its 2018 Diversity and Inclusion Report.
Employing more than 28,000 full-time and part-time employees around the world with offices on five continents, the company’s fourth annual report details AEG’s approach to diversity and inclusion through its AEG 1FORCE initiative, employee spotlights from its global workforce, supplier workforce diversity case studies and more.
“When I reflect upon the past two decades of our business, it’s clear to me that AEG’s diversity has been core to our success, and I am deeply proud of that,” said AEG Chairman Philip Anschutz. “By respecting and embracing our differences, encouraging openness, engaging with new and different ideas, and empowering people at all levels of our company, we have shaped a powerful team culture.”
Included in the report, among AEG’s U.S. workforce, 41.5 percent full-time employees and 58.1 percent of part-time employees identify as people of color, while 37 percent full-time and 33.5 percent part-time employees are female.
The report also details programming and collaborations with groups such as Women In Sports & Events (WISE), employee events that include panels featuring speakers from the LGBTQ communities, annual Pride Nights for both AEG’s LA Kings and LA Galaxy, Women Leadership Speaker Series, and more.
“At AEG, diversity and inclusion are more than a corporate policy—they are embedded in everything we do,” said AEG President & CEO Dan Beckerman. “As the world’s leading sports and entertainment company, we aim to continue expanding these initiatives and evolving our practices not only because it is the ‘right thing to do,’ but because it adds value to our organization.”
