Position Summary:

The Private Event Sales & Marketing Manager is responsible for driving private event revenue across the facility, with a strong focus on private events with hospitality/catering. This role blends strategic marketing with proactive sales, using both traditional outreach and grassroots marketing and sales strategies to position the venue as a premier destination for corporate meetings, teambuilding experiences, social celebrations, photoshoots, brand activations, and more.

The Manager leads targeted marketing initiatives, builds and maintains relationships with booking agents, promoters, corporate clients, and community partners, and manages the full sales cycle—from prospecting and proposal development to negotiating rental agreements and contracts. This position oversees availability, hold requests, and calendar management while collaborating closely with internal departments, catering partners, and the Sr. Manager of Event Booking to maximize revenue opportunities and deliver exceptional client experiences.

Essential Functions:

  • Proactively generate new business through networking, outbound outreach, partnerships, agency relationships, community engagement, and industry events while identifying and cultivating diverse lead channels including corporate planners, production companies, team-building vendors, hospitality partners, and civic organizations. Build strategic relationships with Convention & Visitors Bureaus, Chambers of Commerce, and corporate associations, respond to inbound leads within 24 hours, and maintain consistent follow-up through the CRM to drive conversion.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy that promotes the venue’s private event capabilities, partnering with Marketing/Creative Services to produce compelling collateral, digital campaigns, case studies, and multimedia assets while supporting social initiatives that highlight event spaces and client success. Conduct ongoing market research to monitor trends and competitors, recommend innovative pricing models and event concepts, and lead venue tours and presentations that position the campus as a premier event destination.
  • Manage the facility calendar and scheduling platform to maximize space utilization. This includes but is not limited to one-off corporate bookings and internal and external events on site.
  • Maintain strong relationships with past and prospective clients through CRM-driven communication and proactive engagement strategies that foster long-term partnerships. Implement retention and post-event follow-up initiatives to encourage repeat business and facilitate complimentary rental agreements for Global Partnership activations in alignment with internal approvals.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between clients and the venue caterer or concessionaire to ensure alignment on event needs and service expectations. Assist in developing tailored catering packages that enhance targeted event offerings, client satisfaction, and overall revenue performance.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or its equivalency (BA/BS Degree Preferred)
  • 4-6 years
    • Experience within sales/events, preferably in hospitality, sports, entertainment, or venue management.
    • Experience in marketing, including campaign development, content creation, or digital marketing for corporate events.
  • Strong knowledge of private and corporate event planning, production, and hospitality operations.
  • Experience developing and executing marketing and sales strategies.
  • Proven track record of increasing revenue and meeting/exceeding sales goals.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products with the ability to learn required business systems, Graphic design experience is a plus.
  • Comfortable using CRM platforms and event booking software.
  • Proven leadership in a fast-paced, competitive team environment.
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong networking skills with a proven ability to build and foster relationships with clients and drive new business.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Graphic design experience is a plus, particularly for supporting marketing content, sales collateral, and promotional materials.

Payscale: $73,266.00 - $85,000.00

Bonus:  This position is eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
