Job Summary
The HR & Payroll Lead will serve as a point of contact to provide support to all festivals, venues, and touring management teams as well as the event staff employees throughout the employment life cycle including recruitment, onboarding, payroll and employee management. The HR & Payroll Lead will provide guidance to Payroll Coordinators and Specialists across all regions and will be the point of contact for payroll issues and challenges.
What you will do
- Assist with aligning and creating the best payroll practices across all regions for HR & Payroll Coordinators and Specialists to ensure consistency across all regions.
- Aid employees with daily payroll, PTO, timesheet and system Issues. Assist management with reports, timesheet issues, etc.
- Support festivals, regional offices, venues, and touring with the event staff on-boarding lifecycle, which includes leading the coordination of event staff new hire paperwork, ensuring employees are in both the time and attendance and payroll system throughout all of AEG Presents for consistency.
- Lead the weekly processing of event-based payroll including ensuring all time reports are submitted timely and audits/approvals are completed timely to ensure the processing of the weekly payroll.
- Process and document a high-volume of transactions involving staff, including: promotions pay increases, data updates, and terminations. Send documentation to appropriate parties for approvals and coordinate with other departments on execution. Identify, update and streamline improvement opportunities in processes or documentation across all of AEG Presents.
- Assist the VP HR and Director HR with specialized projects as needed.
- Ensure all personnel files are properly maintained by creating new hire files, I-9 file maintenance for compliance, termination files and annual shipments for storage.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of current job descriptions for all part-time event employees.
- Remain current on changes in wage & hour law by continuously researching all federal, state and local human resources laws and provide monthly updates to the HR Management.
- Act as a top-level specialist when supporting new and current employees with payroll and systems training. Schedule training and track attendance for participants. Ensure compliance with training requirements.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or its equivalency (BA/BS Degree Preferred) In Human Resources, Psychology, or Business Administration preferred
- 4-6 years Human Resources experience
- Experience working in an HRIS system to process payroll and data changes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel and Outlook) familiarity with creating reports in Excel is preferred
- Highly organized individual with close attention to detail
- Exceptional customer service skills and an ability to creatively problem solve
- Knowledge of employment laws
- Proven ability to utilize discretion and best judgment when handling confidential information
- Excellent writing and communication skills, especially communicating to large groups
- Friendly, upbeat, energetic, and approachable, with the ability to act with care and extreme discretion, especially regarding disciplinary or pay-related issues.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast pace, changing work environment

Payscale: $26.39 - $33.00 / hour
This position is not eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
