AEG's ASCSC Foundation, National Association of Black Female Executives in Music & Entertainment (NABFEME) and Women Helping Women in Entertainment Host Seventh Annual Women in Entertainment Luncheon Virtually

On Friday, July 31, 2020, more than 250 female executives from the sports and entertainment industries attended the seventh annual Women in Entertainment Luncheon (Film, TV, Music, Sports, and Fashion), presented by Coca Cola, Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Lakers and City National Bank.
The virtual event featured remarks and a panel discussion on the critical issues facing the sports and entertainment industries as they navigate the pandemic. The event was hosted by AEG’s ASCSC Foundation, National Association of Black Female Executives in Music and Entertainment, Inc. (NABFEME Los Angeles) and Women Helping Women in Entertainment.
“While the pandemic has put a hold on the sports and entertainment industries, we believe it is important for women to come together to discuss relevant topics and the challenges they are facing,” said Tamala Lewis, Women in Entertainment Luncheon Founder and AEG’s Dignity Health Sports Park Center Community Affairs and Foundation Senior Director. “It is also essential that we continue to stay connected to our community and support one another during this stressful time.”
Opening session remarks were given by Dan Beckerman, President and CEO, AEG. Throughout the event attendees heard remarks from Katie Pandolfo, General Manager, Dignity Health Sports Park, Tamala Lewis, Naomi Rodriguez, senior director external affairs and community relations for the Los Angeles Dodgers, and Kiesha Nix, executive director of the Los Angeles Lakers Youth Foundation.
The panel discussion was moderated by Pat Shields, VP of Marketing for Black Dot, LLC, and included Alana Mayo, Head of Production and Development, Outlier Society; Hallie Yavitch, Vice President Staples Center & Microsoft Theater; Christine Devine, award- winning anchor for KTTV’s Fox 11 News; and Dani Nagel, Owner & Designer, Dazey LA.
The event also recognized Susan Burton, the Founder of A New Way of Life Reentry Project, with the 2020 Inspiration Award.
