AEG’s Season of Giving Celebrates Chanukah With Chabad of Downtown Los Angeles Jewish Community Center at L.A. LIVE
Annual event featured lighting of six-foot menorah, music, dancing and giveaways
On Tuesday, Dec. 19, in celebration of AEG’s Season of Giving, the company’s charitable holiday initiative, AEG joined efforts with Chabad of Downtown Los Angeles Jewish Community Center to celebrate the eighth night of Chanukah at L.A. LIVE.
Following welcoming remarks by Rabbi Nachman Abend, Chabad of North Hollywood and Rabbi Moshe Greenwald, Chabad of Downtown Los Angeles Jewish Community Center, AEG’s vice president of communications, Michael Roth joined the group to light the menorah in celebration of the last night of Chanukah.
“This Menorah is the ultimate display of joy and unity,” said Rabbi Greenwald. “The holiday of Chanukah is a festival of a historic victory and celebration for all times, highlighted by the kindling of Menorahs each night of the holiday. It also contains a universal message for people of all faiths—that ultimately, good will triumph over evil, freedom over oppression, and light over darkness,” said Rabbi Greenwald.
“We are proud to once again host this event for the downtown community at L.A. LIVE,” said Michael Roth. “Throughout AEG’s Season of Giving, we strive to bring together our employees and community groups as we all celebrate the holiday season while encouraging our friends and neighbors to give back to the community during the holiday season.”
AEG’s Season of Giving is the company’s charitable holiday initiative that encourages its employees throughout the world to engage in charitable activities in their local communities.
