STAPLES CENTER PREMIUM SEATING SALES REVENUE BREAKS THE $100 MILLION REVENUE MARK THIS SEASON
Los Angeles, California (March 2, 2015) – For the first time in the 15 year history of STAPLES Center, Premium Seating revenue has broken the $100,000,000 threshold for the 2014-15 season. Due to the collective efforts of the incredibly hard working Premium Staff at STAPLES Center, all 150 private suites are sold out, 2,377 Premier Seats are contracted and close to $4,000,000 in new premium inventory was realized with the introduction and complete sell out of The Premier Tables and Lounges at San Manuel Club.
The Premier Tables are seven unique spaces featuring plush “living room style” chairs that accommodate four guests in a spacious and semi-private first class environment. The Premier Lounges are 18 private settings that accommodate four guests in a stylish and contemporary atmosphere. Over the summer of 2013, the arena converted a portion of the existing dining space to create the 25 Premier Tables and Lounges. The San Manuel Club still offers an enjoyable dining experience for our premium guests, but with the addition of the Premier Tables and Lounges, the venue can better utilize the best sight lines to create a unique experience, generate new revenue for the building and drive innovation within the industry.
For the sixth year in a row, all 150 private suites have been sold, with the assistance of a comprehensive suite renewal campaign, which included a wide range of financial incentives, awards, exclusive events and special offers for those renewing their leases early or extending current agreements. An additional incentive included a “suite-owners only” trip to the 2014 Masters where 18 clients and their guests witnessed Bubba Watson capture his second Green Jacket. The Premium Seating Staff was on hand to make sure they were hosted in the same manner and style that they are accustomed to while at STAPLES Center.
“The Premium Seating Sales staff at STAPLES Center and Nokia Theatre are incredibly talented and work tirelessly to achieve their goal each and every year. This year they went above and beyond shattering every sales record we have ever had,” Lee Zeidman, President, STAPLES Center, Nokia Theatre and L.A. LIVE. “Achieving this sales record is a testament to our tenant teams and the products they put out on the court and ice, the amazing artists that book and play our venue, and to all of our part time and full time staff who make sure night in and night out that our guests and fans are provided with first class service.”
2014 was another banner year at STAPLES Center, with the Los Angeles Kings winning their second Stanley Cup Championship in three years and the Los Angeles Clippers postseason run. Suite holders have already experienced a number of incredible concerts including Katy Perry, George Strait, Ed Sheeran, Cher, Demi Lovato, Elton John, Enrique Iglesias & Pitbull, Eric Church and Usher. STAPLES Center is looking forward to upcoming performances in 2015 from Barry Manilow, Bette Midler, J. Cole, three BET Experience concerts featuring Kevin Hart, Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube and more, five sold outTaylor Swift concerts, Chayanne, Iggy Azalea, The Who and Motely Crue’s final shows ever on December 28th, 30th and 31st. When Swift returns in August 2015 it will mark a record setting 16 sold out concerts at STAPLES Center since bursting onto the scene in 2009.
“Our downtown footprint anchored by STAPLES Center and supported by the L.A. LIVE district has provided unparalleled access to entertainment and unique experiences for corporate initiatives, families, friends and sports fanatics,” Todd Goldstein, Chief Revenue Officer, AEG. “Our continued success and growth has inspired AEG to take this blueprint and replicate it worldwide. We are proud that we have built on the success of our Ritz-Carlton L.A. LIVE condo sales sell-out and continue to deliver for our clients.”
STAPLES Center is now accepting applications for a wait list for Private Suites and the new Premier Tables and Lounges at San Manuel Club for the 2015-16 season. Premier Seats are no longer available for 2014-15, but interested parties are encouraged to act now for 2015-16 in order to be activated early into the STAPLES Center Premium Seating family and receive the Premium Seating Benefits Program. Subject to availability, this may include offers for previously announced and upcoming shows, playoff tickets for the 2014-15 season, and exclusive events such as our annual golf tournament, movie premiers and much more.
In addition to the record setting year at STAPLES Center, the Premium Sales Department has been able to sell out all 12 Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE private boxes for 2014. This venue compliments and captures events that are not hosted at STAPLES Center by welcoming some of the most popular awards shows, diverse concerts and family shows.
“Having been a part of the Premium Seating Department at STAPLES Center for the last 12 years, I have a true understanding and appreciation for the amount of dedication, passion and persistence required to achieve the revenues that we have produced this season,” Michele Kajiwara, Vice President, Premium Seating, STAPLES Center & Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE. “I am so proud of every member of our team since they are all a vital part of the sale, the relationship and the experience delivered to our clients.”
